August 2005

EHC Castle Combe (UK) The first EHC race run at Castle Combe in Britain was a great success and it was helped by a beautiful sunny day. It was a good undulating racing course and a stong breeze added to the challenge. There had been some uncertainty over the number of European participants and despite some people not being present, a good number of handcyclists took part. There was also a number of new British faces which is very encouraging for the sport in the UK. The meeting, under the direction of David Abrutat, proceeded extremely well.

The winners of the individual classes were: Olivier Versaeilie (A1), Christophe Hindriqc (A2), Manfred finery (B), Elmar Sternath (C1), Roel Bruijn (C2) and Monique v/d Vorst (FC). The results of the race are now available.
